Travel LPN

Location: Tallmadge, OH

Available Shifts: 6am-6pm, 7pm-7am

**Supporting local senior living communities in the Greater Akron areas.

Position Summary:

As a Travel Nurse Supervisor (LPN) you will cover needs at different Senior Living Communities for a shift, several days or weeks, depending on that community’s needs. The Travel Nurse Supervisor (LPN) is responsible for the management of resident care services on an assigned shift by delivering a 1440 experience, optimizing performance, and leading employee connections within our community.

Required Experience:

  • You are a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with a current license in the state for which you are working.
  • Provide management of resident care services to communities within assigned geographical region.
  • Comfortable driving up to an hour (45-50 miles).
  • Assisted Living/Memory Care experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • You are passionate about working with elderly and helping them achieve great outcomes.
  • You love to be part of an interdisciplinary team, laugh, and have fun while working hard to provide excellent service.
  • Proficient in general computer skills.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead, manage, and overall accountability for your team and their performance.
  • Resident Evaluations: Responsible for meeting with potential and current residents to complete evaluations.
  • Responsible for administrating/passing medications
  • Employee Connection: Lead to Employee First by setting clear expectations, giving and receiving regular and honest feedback, and growing and recognizing your staff.
  • 1440 Care for Residents: Understanding and leading our 1440 care standards so you and your team ensure that each resident and each family has their needs met.
  • Responsible communication with families: Communicating messages tactfully and timely with resident’s families and ensuring the message has been received and correctly understood.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and provides 1440 care for Assisted Living and/or Memory Care residents.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with residents and their families.
  • Provide timely and detailed information to your Wellness Leader regarding any changes to a resident’s needs or care.
  • Ensures all residents are cared for with our 1440 Care Standards in a private and dignified manner. .
  • Respond in a timely manner to resident needs as observed, reported by staff, written communication, resident or family – Report to Wellness Director.
  • Review incident reports and report to Wellness Director.
  • Maintains appropriate and complete documentation per company policies.
  • Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
  • Participates in coordination of home care services, attends meetings as required, and follows reporting guidelines.
  • Available to work weekends and/or on call as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

General Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may frequently bend, reach, grasp, and climb. The employee may need to squat and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
